Neptune P2P Group’s facilities security services can be employed against the more basic structures such as residential properties to the more complex ports or energy terminals. Regardless, the principles remain constant. Our facilities security service is delivered in four phases: Discovery, Design, Deliver and Disengage.
- Discovery – Working with all the client’s stakeholders, we confirm the critical assets and conduct a Security Risk Assessment. This includes the assessment of any threats, hazards, vulnerabilities, and subsequent risks, providing risk management recommendations and plans that will mitigate the risk to the clients’ critical assets. These facility security assessments and plans will also consider official entry and exit points and vulnerabilities to the facility’s physical integrity.
- Design – Again, working with the client's stakeholders, we develop a facility security plan that includes the physical security measures (personnel and structure), access control and surveillance required to mitigate any security vulnerabilities.
- Deliver – Once the facility security assessments and plans have been agreed upon by the client, physical and technical requirements will be procured and installed. Our risk management staff will deliver any necessary training to staff, coupled with relevant exercises and drills.
- Disengage – Once the client is content that the facilities security service is fully integrated into their company cadence, our risk management staff will disengage.
Port Facility Security Assessments and Plans. Neptune P2P Group are certified by the UK Department for Transport to conduct Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) training. PFSO training focuses on the duties of a PFSO, how to conduct a Port Facility Security Assessment (PFSA) and compile a Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP) in accordance with the internationally recognised ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) Code. Conducting a PFSA/P is a more complex example of facilities security services. A demonstration of Neptune P2P Group’s experience in this domain can be seen within the following Case Studies.
External validation - testing your facilities security. Many companies will have conducted facility security assessments and developed and implemented a credible plan as a result. However, many of these plans will be dated (and may not consider current threats, hazards and vulnerabilities or new critical assets) or will not have been tested. Neptune P2P Group provides an external validation service. From a security perspective, this could include Neptune P2P Group staff being used to test/penetrate a facility's security measures. Neptune P2P Group can run a series of validation exercises to test the plans and security infrastructure validity. It’s better to learn lessons in an exercise environment rather than for real when lessons will cost a company unnecessary lost revenue.
