Crisis Management and Emergency Response is aimed at the cross-Government response to a crisis, leading to an emergency response. The capacity building ranges from Ministerial level strategic decision making, through to the use of secretariats and operational command and control, to the emergency responders and their actions on the ground. Training is bespoke to the client and developed in consultation. International standards/principles are used as a baseline with environmental, cultural and resource differences considered when mutually developing the capacity building programme.
Crisis Management is an organisation’s capacity to avert or respond to and learn from crisis.
Emergency Response. While Crisis Management focuses predominately on decision-making, the what and the why, Emergency Response focuses on the how. An Emergency Response will likely require action from several internal departments and possibly external support too.
Our Crisis Management and Emergency Response specialists collaborate with Governments and companies to understand the client’s Crisis Management and Emergency Response requirements, reviewing and updating current Crisis Management and Emergency Response procedures, delivering bespoke training and conducting realistic exercises. Crisis Management focuses towards decision-making, while Emergency Response focuses on the practicalities of resolving the challenge on the ground.
