Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry (Top Up) SIA Course
An SIA licensed Door Supervisor works on premises that are authorised by a local governing body. These include alcohol-serving premises and entertainment venues. Door Supervisors man the venue’s entrance searching visitors for weapons, drugs and other prohibited items. They maintain safety within an event or venue to ensure no unauthorised persons enter the venue. Door supervisors are also responsible for maintaining safety, managing crowds, dealing with conflicts and emergencies and co-operating with management and police.
