JOHANNESBURG – The trial of 12 alleged Somali pirates accused of hijacking a French merchant ship has been postponed to Wednesday.
The trial was scheduled to begin today but was moved after one of the accused fell ill.
The men were arrested in January this year after US marines received a distress call from the ship.
During their first court appearance, they denied being pirates, saying they were fishermen.
