Yemen Houthi rebels yesterday fired a ballistic missile towards the King Faisal Cantonment, Khamis Mushayt. in the Khamis Mushayt area in southwestern Saudi Arabia.
Saudi media said the Kingdom’s Air Defence forces intercepted the ballistic missile.
The Houthis have fired a number of ballistic missiles at sites in Saudi Arabia, especially in Jazan, Najran and areas south of the Kingdom. The group says it targets military sites, but Saudi Arabia says the missiles target civilian areas.
