About Travel Risk Management

It is a company’s responsibility to provide a duty of care to its employees. Neptune P2P Group’s Travel Risk Management (TRM) services can assist in delivering that legal requirement. Detailed below is what TRM services we provide.

Policy and guidelines. In coordination with the client’s stakeholders, Neptune P2P Group will draft a company travel risk management policy. This will establish the process that personnel must follow, enabling the company to provide its obligated duty of care. It will establish a framework to ensure that risk (and subsequent risk management) is considered for every journey and depending on the risk, appropriate steps taken to mitigate against it to make any business travel risk, as low as reasonably possible. In addition, regional security management guidance such as pre-travel preparation, departure and arrival considerations, and hotel, meeting and in-country journey considerations will also be provided.

Location and route security risk assessments. Neptune P2P Group’s team of intelligence analysts can provide, on request, bespoke location, route, and area security risk assessments to aid your travel risk management requirements. The assessment will cover political (how state and non-state actors may affect travel and business), operational (medical requirements, standard of hospitals and state infrastructure, culture and cultural challenges, and weather), security (including crime and terrorism, and travel (travel-related risks).

Location and route security risk management and planning. In addition to a location and route security risk assessment, Neptune P2P Group’s travel risk management team can provide advice on how to mitigate any risk identified during the assessment and develop a pre, during and post-travel plan.

Tracking. Should the travel risk be significant, particularly from potential kidnap, a risk mitigation measure is personnel and vehicle tracking. Neptune P2P Group can provide a tracking service on request. This service can be managed by Neptune P2P Group’s 24/7 operations team, or by the company itself. This service can be per individual and/or per vehicle.

SAFE training. In preparedness for working in unfamiliar and unstable locations, and as a duty of care towards its employees, Neptune P2P Group deliver Security Awareness in Fragile Environments (SAFE) training. The training can be bespoke and developed for a company’s specific requirements, but would generally consist of travel preparation, travel risk management, countering terrorism, crisis management, kidnap situations, basic trauma certified medical training, and practical training. The course length varies from 2 to 5 days, dependant on the requirement.
