In April, the first suspected piracy incident against a commercial ship in the Nigerian EEZ in over 3 years took place, as an armed gang boarded a tanker 104nm southwest of Bonny. An increase in Boarding and Robbery events in the Singapore Strait continues to cause concern, while in the Mediterranean, Human Migration incidents continued unabated. Elsewhere, two crew members were abducted from a vessel drifting off Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and Russia carried out attacks on Ukrainian Black Sea ports.
