Bhola: A fishermen was shot to death and 35 others were injured in an attack by suspected pirates at Kutubdia channel of the Bay of Bengal in Chittagong on Friday.
The deceased is M Sidu Miah, 40, a resident of Bhobanipur union in Daulatkhan upazila.
Other victims hail from different villages of the upazila.
Local people said Sidu along with 19 fishermen went to catch fish at Kalkini in Kutubdia area from Daulatkhan in a trawler of FB Faria on Thursday morning.
