ADEN, July 22 (Saba) – Yemen is to participate in a training course to combat piracy organized by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) of the United Nations (UN) and under the supervision of the NATO.
Upon his departure, Deputy Director-General of Research for the Gulf of Aden Coastguard Sector Mohamed al-Ghalibi said that the course would last for two weeks, with the participation of representatives from seventy countries from all around the world.
The course aims to develop skills of participants in combating piracy and the reduction of crimes in the seas, as well as in the exchange of information and experience between representatives on issues related to combating maritime crimes.
