Two senior staff of Agip Oil company travelling along the Ogbia- Brass River have been kidnapped by sea-pirates.
Eye-witness account said the sea-pirates attacked the boat their victims were travelling in and robbed every passenger on board.
They were said to have taken over the boat from the driver and dropped the passengers at Nembe, but whisked the two Agip staff away.  The passengers said the sea-pirates were armed with sophisticated weapons and covered their faces with masks. An environmentalist, Mr Morris Alagoa has called on the authorities to arrest the increasing wave of sea-pirates attack in Bayelsa State.
According to him, pirate attack along the water ways in Bayelsa is a daily occurrence which needs to be seriously checked.
