Reports suggest that a fishing trawler was attacked by pirates on Saturday, March 2nd, at 1045 LT in position 04:07N-005:36E, around 25nm from the Bayelsa coast, Nigeria.
Although details are still emerging, unconfirmed reports suggest that the trawler’s Captain was killed during the attack. The pirates escaped before the Nigerian Navy were able to attend the scene.
