NORFOLK
The guided-missile destroyer Bainbridge will deploy Friday from Norfolk.
The ship will head to Europe and Africa as part of the service’s anti-piracy mission, a Navy news release says.
The ship last deployed in January 2011 with Standing NATO Maritime Group 2 in the 5th Fleet area of responsibility on a counter-piracy operations in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Somali Basin and Indian Ocean.
