Protective Security in Israel

Neptune P2P Group deployed their senior security risk advisor [SRA], to support a major media news network immediately after the start of the Isarael Hamas War (2023). Neptune’s Operations Team deployed the SRA with extra medical equipment on a flight to Israel within 4 hours of being called upon.
Once co-located at the news networks HQ, the SRA was attached to a senior correspondent and team deploying on the ground in Israel within 12 hours of landing. During the first five weeks of the war our SRA worked with four correspondents and their crews primarily in the North of Israel but initially in and around the locations of the Hamas-led attack on the 7th October 2023.
During the deployment SRA roles included, carrying out risk assessments for each day’s news gathering, providing security and situation awareness for the media team as they went about their tasks on the ground. The SRA also a trained Remote Medic, was on standby to administer first aid should it be required. The SRA was a fully integrated member of the team throughout the 5-week deployment and Neptune strongly believe a key tenet to success with this type of work is that an SRA’s interpersonal skills are as important as their expertise
