What We Did

Neptune P2P Group are maritime security experts who specialise in ports and terminals security. We recently conducted a detailed security gap analysis for a major port operator within the Arabian Gulf.  The gap analysis focussed on the port’s terminals and headquarters security structure, processes, and procedures.  The International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code) set the baseline for both the Ports level of security and the gap analysis.  We use a stakeholder centric and security convergence approach. Stakeholder centric as no one will understand the mechanics of the company better than its stakeholders – it is important to listen and litmus test local validity, before recommending change.

Security convergence by studying the interoperability gaps between the physical, technical, and information security (including cyber) as well as generic security risk management.  This all-inclusive approach enables Neptune’s security consultants to audit port and terminal security compliance as mandated within the ISPS Code, but also add that layer of international best practice to raise the bar even higher. And best practice is not always traditional security focussed – that’s where security convergence, organisation design and ways of working contribute to the holistic security solution. As threats and hazards, and physical, technical and digital control measures evolve, so must security risk management. Neptune P2P Group are already working in the security convergence space – are your consultants?
