Persons Designated Security Duties (PDSD) Ships
Neptune are ISPS Code specialists, accredited to deliver related training by the British Government. This training course is for Persons Designated Security Duties (PDSD) on ships who are members of the security team, as required by the ISPS Code. PDSD are security team members who have been assigned by the Ship Security Officer (SSO) to perform specific security tasks on board the ship. These tasks aim to ensure the ship’s security during its operations. The Ship Security Plan, approved and overseen by the SSO, defines the security duties of each individual on the ship.

For crewmembers aboard a ship who are assigned specific security duties operating under their respective approved ship security plan.
Anyone who has a position as a Person Designated Security Duties (PDSD) or are employees on board a ship as part of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code providing security aboard the ship. As well as anyone involved in risk management in establishing maritime security measures for ship and port operations.
Ensure course participants are familiar with the duties and responsibilities of a Ship Person Designated Security Duties (PDSD) crewmember as directed by the on-board Ship Security Officer implementing the Ship Security Plan in accordance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code. And assist in implementing such plan aboard the ship.
