ARMED men believed to be members of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) have taken their captives deeper into the forests of Sulu, according to a police intelligence report seen by The Manila Times.
The report said the ASG is consolidating all of its hostages somewhere in Indanan town in Sulu and these are being guarded by more than 200 gunmen. The victims include the three foreigners and a Filipina abducted by a group of 20 armed men from a resort in Samal Island in Davao del Norte on September 21, 2015.
The intelligence report said the four were spotted on Thursday in the area of Tubig Maul in Barangay Sawaki in Indanan town, Sulu along with other hostages, including Malaysian Bernard Ghen Gen Ted Fen and Thien Nyuk Fun, who were snatched by armed men from a restaurant in Sandakan, Sabah last May.
