The number of ships transiting the Arabian Gulf region fell sharply as Iranian drone and missile strikes against commercial shipping effectively closed the Strait of Hormuz. Only ships with connections to Iranian oil exportation and those who have obtained specific authorization from Iran are currently transiting the Strait. Ukraine targeted Russian oil export terminals in the Black Sea and Gulf of Finland and attacked two vessels which are suspected of trading in Russian oil in the Black Sea. An Iranian fishing dhow was hijacked by suspected Somali pirates in the Indian Ocean and the number of Boarding and Robbery incidents remained comparatively low in the Singapore Strait.
