HE could not swim but pirates forced Erin fisherman Marcus Haniff to jump into the sea, where he is believed to have drowned.
Coast Guard officers are now searching for the body of 23-year-old Haniff, whose fellow crew members survived the attack last Saturday.
Haniff’s grandmother, Daphnie Sampson, said she was told the three men were in a pirogue off the south coast of Moruga when they were approached by ‘bandits’ who ordered them to jump overboard.
