LONDON, March 7 – Italy’s commitment to supporting a transition process in Yemen is of top priority, Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi said Thursday at the start of a “Friends of Yemen” meeting in London.
Terzi highlighted the fact that today’s meeting – the fifth of its kind, came about as part of an initiative launched in Italy three years ago.
“The situation in Yemen isn’t only relevant in terms of regional security but also global security”, he said. Maritime security and the battle against piracy also are top priorities for Italy. (ANSAmed)
