Neptune P2P Group helping to secure the future of British Skiing

Our backing of a young British Female Skier will ensure her safe voyage from being the current GB U18 Champion to competing on the Global stage.  Seventeen-year-old Candice Bomberg is a member of the GB FIS Squad and has been earmarked to compete at the European Youth Olympics in Italy this winter.

Candice was born and raised in the French Alps, she was skiing as soon as she could stand and descending Black runs by the age of four.  She is an athlete of exceptional talent and with her British Citizenship a true potential to compete at the very highest levels of the blue-ribbon skiing events for Great Britain.

Now racing for GB, season 2022 was her first at the senior FIS racing level, where she competed in 45 races over 5 months across 17 Alpine locations. Internationally she took two podiums in highly competitive senior races and was ranked 8th overall in the Arnold Lunn World Cup standings for upcoming skiers from over 50 nations. Training for season 2023 is nearing completion and has consisted of 24 days of glacier skiing in the Alps, plus ski racing camps in Argentina and Sweden. This is combined with strength, endurance, plyometrics and cardio training.

Candice’s main goals for this season are the Youth Olympics in Italy this January, to continue working her way up the world senior rankings and to defend her British titles. Future ambitions include eyeing the World Junior Championships in 2024 & 2025, Europa and World Cup Skiing Events and aiming for the 2026 Winter Olympic games in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy when she will be only 20.

Competing at this level requires significant resources and financial support.  Neptune P2P Group are strong advocates of young people and sports. We have sponsored and supported football, cricket and netball teams as well as supporting youth and other charities and are now proud to join other headline sponsors in supporting Candice in her challenging pursuit of success with Team GB. Our funding will help to provide the security and financial resilience to protect her future.  We will be following Candice closely and posting updates on her progress.

On 11 February 2023, Candice competed in the English Ski Championship at the Junior Slalom Race (under 21’s) represented by 17 nations. Candice was 4th overall and came 2nd in U18 International, 3rd in U21 International & 1st in GB U18 & U21 🥇🏆. She won the title of “2023 English Junior Slalom Champion” in Bormio, Italy last week.  At 17, she has three more seasons in the Junior Category.

We are proud to support such young talent and will be rooting for her next win.
