Security Risk Management Advisor Course
The Security Risk Management Advisor course focuses on delivering a Security Risk Assessment and subsequent Risk Management Plan. The course follows a journey consisting of stakeholder engagement, confirming the critical assets, identifying threats, hazards, vulnerabilities, and subsequent risk to those assets, providing risk management options to the client through a risk register and a risk management plan, and if required, providing training and drills as part of that risk management.

- Module 1 – Introduction to becoming a Security Risk Management Advisor. To include ISO 31000 and other Risk Management process.
- Module 2 – Risk Management process. A practical walk through the risk management process from stakeholder engagement and critical asset identification, analysis and threat assessment, to understanding risk and recording it, to presenting stakeholders a Risk Management Plan (RMP).
- Module 3 – Report writing. The theory before the practical exercised to include report construct, risk registers and the RMP.
- Module 4 – Security Risk Management practical exercise. A practical exercise that will consist of the full cycle of the Risk Management.
- Module 5 – Business Continuity and Resilience (BCR). An introduction that includes contingency planning, countering terrorism, training and exercising.
- Module 6 – Crisis Management. An introduction to Crisis Management that includes a practical exercise.
- Module 7 – Cyber Security Awareness (CSA). This module demonstrates how to manage cyber security risks.
