WHAT WE DO

Yemen has been undergoing a civil war since 2015 between the Houthi movement and the internationally recognised Yemeni government.

In an ongoing project, Neptune P2P Group provided safety and security services to an NGO and the USAID-sponsored ‘Systems, Health, and Resiliency Project’ (SHARP), in Aden, Yemen.

The NGO required us to deploy one of our Security Risk Management Consultants to Aden during the planning phases of the project, to provide a Security Risk Assessment (SRA) and assist with the site selection of their field office. Upon completion of the site selection process, we managed the implementation of the vital security measures required to safeguard the NGO and its people, and support its work within the region.

Our Security Risk Management Team also assisted in the development of the security manual, emergency preparedness, and crisis management policy. In addition, we provided the static and mobile security solutions and support, including an armed security guard force, defensive trained drivers, armed vehicles, crisis management support, intelligence support, security training to field staff, as well as mentoring of the field-based Security Focus Person (SFP).

"Neptune helped us get our operations up and running again in Yemen after being out of the country for five years. They worked with us to identify a suitable and safe office location, upgrade the office to ensure the safety and security of our staff, and established foundational policies and procedures for staff safety that still allow us to carry out our programmatic work on a daily basis. The Neptune staff are always available, make us feel as if we are their only client, and are genuinely concerned with our staff well-being. They have been an excellent service provider for us and we continue to rely on them for guidance, advice, training, and regular security services for our operations in Yemen."
